Welcome to Bethel Lutheran School, Morton, IL
......with Christ himself as our chief cornerstone. Eph. 2:20
Our MissionWe, as believers and disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His Body here at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, in response to His Commission to make disciples of all peoples and in awareness of our unique, collective gifts, clearly see the mission before us to worship to grow to serve. Bethel Lutheran School offers a Christian Education for the whole child. Students in the school find identity, purpose, and power for their lives by living in Gods grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. The education is well rounded and provides spiritual instruction, intellectual achievement, social interaction, emotional development, physical education, and aesthetic experiences.
Message from the Principal - July 2010While many of you are aware of the service projects the 8th graders were doing this year, I havent given space in my articles to go into detail on them. All 8th graders completed their Making a Difference Projects. I want to take this opportunity to highlight the projects:
Additionally, 4 students Abby Marks, Austin Dierks, Joey Jacob and Logan Monson helped on Making a Difference projects over and above their own. For the first year, this went well, and we look forward to continuing and growing this program. The LED sign variance was approved by the Village of Morton Zoning Board. The estimates for the sign came in at around $15,000. The amount available through the memorial will be around $6,000, but thanks to our Foundation Board, we have enough money to cover the difference. As summer is getting underway here, we are busy preparing for the coming school year. Schedules are getting set, planning is being done and materials are being lined up. Through it all, we are already excited about the 2010-2011 school year and thank you for your continued support. John R. Jacob Principal
